Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons revealed Tuesday that police in Minnesota arrested dozens of anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis overnight, signaling a massive change in support from local authorities after the arrival of White House border czar Tom Homan.

Lyons made the revelation at a House Homeland Security hearing while being questioned by Republican Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, who attributed the change in local authorities finally supporting ICE to the recent arrival of Homan after weeks of leaving them to fend off violent agitators themselves.

President Donald Trump sent Homan to Minneapolis last month to replace Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino - known for his aggressive and sweeping immigration raids - after the fatal shootings of two anti-ICE activists.

Bovino's tactics, along with sanctuary laws and anti-ICE "rhetoric on the Left ... created the perfect storm" for a surge in attacks on ICE agents, McCaul explained.

"Your officers are not trained to effectuate crowd control; they are trained to move and surgically go in to remove these dangerous, violent criminals from the United States of America. I've called for de-escalation after the two deaths, the two shootings that took place. I believe that these roving patrols should be done at the border rather than in the major cities of the United States," McCaul said while addressing Lyons.

Since Homan's arrival in Minneapolis, he has held meetings with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and local police chiefs. Those meetings have resulted in "unprecedented" cooperation from local authorities in Minnesota, leading to a "drawdown" of 700 federal agents that Homan announced last week.

"And what has been done since Mister Homan came into the job ... We now have targeted law enforcement operations, he's returning to the original mission of ICE. He is working with state locals to do the crowd control. He is getting them to honor the ICE detainers. He is also getting the body cameras put on them and the roving patrols, in his words, to me should be done at the border, not in major cities," McCaul said.

McCaul then asked Lyons how things have changed on the ground in Minneapolis since Homan's arrival.

"So we've seen a de-escalation in the fact that the protests, while they still go on, have subsided, and ICE has been allowed to do their targeted intelligence-driven enforcement operation. Just last night, local authorities arrested 54 protesters at the local level, where ICE officers did not have to be engaged," Lyons said.

There is a revelation within the Democratic Socialists, which is creating a newfound discovery that masks are bad or wrong for society, and should not be worn by certain groups; currently the rancor is to unmask ICE agents: What is your opinion on the wearing of masks?
Yes, ICE agents should wear masks if it keeps them safe from the threat of doxing, and greater public violence against their families by intolerant Leftists raging against the defenseless.
No, ICE agents must be forced to reveal their true selves; however, wearing masks while rioting and looting is within the bounds of the Leftist dictum.
I wear masks often at Halloween.

Now that President Trump is picking his cabinet and immediate staff to insulate him from the poor judgement of the Bureaucratic Class, while moving quickly to transition this Constitutional Republic unto a wise and sustainable direction: What is your immediate impression as to how our nation will prosper?
We are headed toward a Golden Age in America's self-governed society.
This will all wind up in a clustered mess since Trump is a Fascist, and thought to be the second coming of Adolf Hitler by our best journalists.
This is a time where critical days lay ahead, where only wise and responsible decisions must be made to sustain US.
I generally do not pay attention, but expect only the best to occur ... and that is what I always expect.

It is a relief to see local law enforcement finally taking a stand and restoring order in Minnesota; Homan’s approach to de-escalation through firm enforcement is exactly what’s been missing. As we see these federal shifts, a few of us in my business circle are discussing the long-term implications for international mobility and securing legal status abroad as a contingency. Does anyone here have experience with European residency requirements, specifically regarding the speed of bureaucratic processing? I was looking at this resource for obtaining a Spanish tax ID remotely e-residence.com to see if it's a viable way to bypass the usual government delays, or do you think these types of digital legal services are becoming the new standard for international compliance in this chaotic climate?

It is encouraging to see local authorities finally stepping up to support ICE, especially with the de-escalation tactics Tom Homan is implementing. As we watch these targeted operations unfold in Minnesota, many of us are trying to track the statistical likelihood of these protests spreading to other regions or affecting local stability. Does anyone know if there are reliable analytical platforms or predictive models that cover these kinds of civic trends? I was recently looking at some data tools over at guiadeBetfairbrasil.com to see how they handle complex odds and situational forecasting, but I'm curious if our community here has a preferred source for more political or security-based projections?
