Mrs. Clara Wiggins | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Clara Mae Clark Wiggins, age 94, a resident of 4559 Old Blounts Creek Road, Chocowinity, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at her home.

    Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Edwards Cemetery, Chocowinity, conducted by Chaplain Davin Phillips. James D. Wiggins, Jr., Shayne Wiggins, Philip A. Wiggins, Jr., Cameron Gettys, Johnathon Gettys and David Smith will serve as pallbearers.

    Mrs. Wiggins was born in Beaufort County on March 24, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Romie Donald Clark and Mary Susan Hill Clark. Mrs. Wiggins was a homemaker and a member of Haw Branch Free Will Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Wiggins was married to Toler Andrew Wiggins, who preceded her in death in 1979.

    She is survived by two sons, Philip A. Wiggins of Chocowinity, James D. Wiggins of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Clark and a sister, Lillar Clark.

    The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at her home.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clara C. Wiggins Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, N.C. 27889.
