have radical Democrats painted themselves into a corner?

ENCNow

The Democrat Party's turn to the far left on social issues has disgusted another Democrat elected official into leaving the party.  Michigan State Representative Karen Whitsett, a black woman is a seasoned Democrat legislator who has represented a district in Detroit for years and has raised her voice in the past against LGBTQ issues, especially those involving children.

Rep. Whitsett said the areas of her disagreements with her party included "abortion, LGBTQ, things to our children that are imperative, where parents no longer have control."  She said following the Democrat agenda was incompatible with her Christian faith, and that she therefore can no longer remain in the party or in elected office.
