NC Elections Board settles case on foreign citizens on NC voter registration lists, will remove | Eastern NC Now

using lists of people excused from jury duty for not being US citizens

Thanks to a recent settlement of a lawsuit and resulting Consent Judgment, the NC Board of Elections has agreed to start using another tool to remove illegal aliens and other foreign citizens from North Carolina Election rolls.  The lawsuit was filed by the NC Republican Party and the Republican National Committee.  the tool is the lists of prospective jurors dismissed for not being US citizens.

The issue first came to a head in Wake County some years ago when the Voter Integrity Project (VIP) obtained a list of prospective jurors who had been excused from jury duty for not being American Citizens when they were called to serve.  They compared that list with the voter rolls of Wake County and found dozens of matches, many of whom were shown to have actually voted.  When they made a complaint to the then-Democrat run Wake County Board of Elections, that board not only refused to investigate or take any action, but they reprimanded the VIP for being "racist" in making the complaint.

Since that time voter integrity activists and Republicans have been seeking action to get these foreign citizens who should not be voting off the voter rolls.  Now, thanks to a lawsuit, it has finally been done.
