The Communist Control Act of 1954, oaths of office and for new citizens | Eastern NC Now

The Communist Control Act of 1954 (68 Stat. 775, 50 U.S.C. §§ 841–844) is an American law signed by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 24, 1954, that outlawed the Communist Party USA and criminalized membership in or support for the party or "Communist-action organizations", on the basis that communists allegedly vowed to overthrow the government of the United States.

Just imagine where we would be today if it was actually enforced.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

One thing I have been wondering about is all those in Congress took an oath to support and defend the US Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic..  Why haven't those that are supporting the socialist over throw of the government been expelled from Congress? 

To change the subject a bit what about naturalized citizens and the oath they took.

The current Oath of Allegiance for new US citizens reads 

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Those that are naturalize citizen, why hasn't their citizenship revoked and them deported for violating their oath?
