new report: 2 major teachers unions put $930 Million on politics and lobbying in last decade | Eastern NC Now

A new report details the large amounts America's two largest teachers unions put into politics and lobbying over the last decade.  Between the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), they spent over $930 Million, most of it to Democrat and leftwing causes and candidates.  The North Carolina Association of Educators union is an affiliate of the NEA.

Overall, the NEA spent over $547 Million on politics and lobbying.  The AFT spent $383.2 Million.  The spending is now going for lots of ideological issues not directly connected to education.
