NCGOP HQ and McClatchy spent the day trumpeting the hiring of Todd Poole as the state party's new executive director. I would be willing to bet that a lot of Republicans in Davidson County are not cheering the news.

I've had some eye-opening discussions recently with two political pros with close ties to GOP candidates on the November ballot in North Carolina. ( They'll be referenced henceforth as StrategistA and StrategistB.)
