I recently saw a "flyer" supporting someone seeking to be a County Commissioner. He is not new to Beaufort County (claims to be having been born and raised here) but he is clearly new to politics in general and Beaufort County politics in particular.

The voters of Beaufort County have just recently been treated to two examples of disgusting, sleazy politics. The Republican Party in Beaufort County has just been subjected to an exhibition of one of the things that keeps the GOP from becoming a viable governing force in the county.

The Beaufort County Commissioners voted 4 to 3 to move as "quick as is practicable" to effect an earlier property revaluation in order to correct the property values that were the cumulative effect of a revaluation performed in 2009, and enacted on January 2010.
