Which tells how the old Council cancelled the agenda for the New Council. All of this is very odd. But it might be a good thing in the long run. It says the City attorney helped with the Agenda.

ALSO Director Mike Dail is also resigning from the City STAFF.
Does a Cabal behave like rats on a sinking ship?
We need a few more resignations in my humble opinion.

Stan, do you seriously need to know the "motive" of the man who planted two viable pipe bombs in DC. He obviously cared nothing about human life. Perhaps he was the sort of guy who thought "kill them all and let God sort them out." His motive doesnt matter under the law.

The motive of the Biden Admin was that the bomber did not fit the
narrative that White Supremacist Radicals were the cause of Jan 6 and needed to be hunted down and locked up in a corrupt and crappy D.C. jail.

Stan, the Biden admin could not solve the Jan 6 pipe bomb case because solving it (revealing who the guilty party was), would NOT fit the Jan 6 narrative. That narrative being that white radicals were the problem on Jan 6.

Its because the complications of Government has outgrown the intelligence of most of the people who are running our Govt. Their brains cant cope with the entanglement of so many newly adopted agencies and all the rules that go along with it. And its even worse for those

Changing faces of the City Council will change NOTHING, as long as the cabal of old, is deeply rooted within the bureaucratic govt of Washington.

What is that quote of bureaucrats? "Elected people are only temporary, we bureaucrats are here for a lifetime." The cabal wont surrender
easily, as their power is addicting.

Speaking of public officials, I'm wondering if the Washington Police Chief who accepted a "demotion," because, as the City Manager said, he was a "team Player," should be re-promoted...unless he was actually guilty of wrong doing, or, knew things he shouldnt know.

I swear to u, this date cant come soon enough.
Next n line should b what was often referred to as "the TopStaff." If these pple R to stay on, at th very least they need 2b RETRAINED. They need retraining, to accept that their job is 2serve th public, not b puppets to a big dogs agenda.

Even th prior council to this one would say to me "I dont know I'll hav to ask th CityManager." So its no surprise that aftr 8 yrs of this attitude, that citizens learned to skip th council, & just go straight to th CM w their concerns. How he & his TOP staff handled us depended on if your issues were pro or con his agenda. There is obvious problems w th heads of Depts that th new council need to address. Staff were all afraid of th CM (IMO) & thus hurt th public w an "us against them" attitude.

Swampy NC has snake-charmers,but th charmers r th snakes itself, charming th Council while threatening job security of THE STAFF.

When one is local, and having their small town local toes stepped on by big shots, it doesn't feel like small potatoes. If we local people are small potatoes to Kidwell, then that is another reason to vote all the scoundrels out.
I wonder if recent poster, "RoadKill" has thought of filing an ethics complaint to the NC Legislature.

I think every 1 here is being a little hard on Austin Garrison. Tho I think Hickman has earned reelection. No question abt it.

However Austin is a young person naive person. I'm impressed that he wants to participate in govt & has the courage to run 4 office. Kudos!

He really cant hardly b blamed if the Chairman of the GOP Executive committee has tried to use him as a puppet. I mean, what young person wouldnt be flattered & grateful if he really were being promoted by a person of such influence & power.

My advice to Austin is that Hickman has this job sewn up & there4 Austin should seek election in some other position, then I might
possibly cheer him on. Let's find another spot for Austin, maybe an appointed Govt committee job where he can gain experience. Hey Austin, always try to see both sides of any issue before u judge.

My complaint w elected pple today is that most of them hav come to think of themselves a "trustees" of WethePeople, rather than
"Representatives" of WeThePpl.

The local lawyers are all corrupt. They are all afraid of the City Govt.
They are all self serving, hoping to win some gravy appointment from local govt. I pretty sure, if I remember correctly, that the current city attorney was disciplined by the state Legal Board. That stuff is online.

Stan, seems we are at that point again in local elections where we must choose...NOT the best candidate, but the lessor or the evils.

Seems that they don't want to work for our vote. When a candidate ignores you while they are a candidate, they damn sure will ignore you once elected.

As a college student, I moved to Los Angeles in the late 60s. I quickly learned that nearly everyone was smoking Marijuana, but no other drugs. It was almost impossible to avoid it because people would pass it to you. If you refused, they looked at you like you must be some kind of a nutjob or worse, a narc. But it wasnt fun to me. I didnt see the reward that they did.

Furthermore, I was working really hard in college to make myself smart, but found that the weed was making me dumb. One day I said to myself: "Self, one of these two things must go." I chose my studies over weed.
But I want to say to Concerned Citizen, even if historically Marijuana was a health benefit, it NO LONGER is because the producers have altered it chemically. What you buy today, no longer is, what it was. Just MHO.
AND, to add to my humble opinion: I think "drugs" is what is causing all the psychosis in the population.
But you do you.
