Comments for Commissioner Hood Richardson States the Correct Case

Whether this immutable fact threatens your delicate sensitivities or not, Commissioner Richardson is far often than not on the right side of every issue he challenges, and in a fairly wide manner.

I really don't care about county politics any longer, I don't have to.

But I do know stupid when I see it, hear it, and these people that vote with little knowledge to support their positions are responsible for the government they get, just as I am responsible for my good work, and my knowledge to know right from wrong.

Come on, Stan --- don't start acting as if I only do tree work for "liberals." I don't start any consult over more than the trees in their yard --- they open up if the subject of County Politics comes up! I am just trying to be honest with you and Hood.

You are good men in your set ways and you mean well, BUT, like the little girl prayed, "Dear God, make all bad people good --- and all good people NICE!"

Well, you need to upgrade your clientele to people that know real stuff, and one thing all of you will know soon enough is that a tax increase is coming that you and your clientele will be totally responsible for.

Pay up. Blame it on Hood, Hell blame it on Stan, but pay your taxes, and we of intellect will know who is responsible.

I beg to respectfully DISAGREE on OBNOXIOUS, Stan. I move about with my tree surgery rounds and more people than you know (or care to listen to) are saying, "For so many years we had a cooperative spirit in Beaufort County --- UNTIL we started acting like the national scene of hate and bullying."
Commented: Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 @ 5:52 am By: Gene Scarborough
He can be obnoxious, but still right, and that is all that really matters.

THE HOOD --- is always right --- IN THE MOST OBNOXIOUS WAY!
Commented: Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 @ 5:39 am By: Gene Scarborough
Well, that is the Beaufort County way. And, I'm glad to shed of it.

I attended a couple of Commission meetings and viewed others. Frankly, you and Hood ask good questions and made valid comments. It is a shame when people do not listen to one another . . .
Commented: Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 @ 5:02 pm By: Gene Scarborough
They rarely listened to Hood or me, unless they got in big trouble on an issue (and there were many), so this was, and now what has and will occur is all of their own doing.

Blaming the policy faults of the personality of others is a straw man argument for stupid people.

I have been impressed with "The Hood's" good questions and expertise over possible location of the Jail/Law Enforcement Center at Chocowinity. What amazes me is that it did not influence the plan which cost us so much!

From you perspective, Stan---Is Hood being prickly because without such he gets ignored?

I favor utmost attempts to work together on the County Commissioners Board for the widest possible wise use of tax dollars they supervise. I also note the deaf ears to making Property Taxes more accurate to actual sales prices and what is the problem with Beaufort County reflecting the declined money to most of us running businesses here?

I thought you were.

Are we speaking of his building adjacent to the Jail/Courthouse?
Commented: Sunday, April 26th, 2015 @ 8:30 am By: Gene Scarborough
That is a Liberal fantasy, excuse me here, Liberal and RINO lie.
Commented: Sunday, April 26th, 2015 @ 7:52 am By: Stan Deatherage
I have read Commissioner Richardson's remarks on hidden agendas in the most recent Beaufort Observer. He is right over the need for transparency!

What is his personal stake in the Jail Renovation issue---since he owns the adjacent building as does the BO reside there paying him rent, I assume???

Just hire me to do more tree work for you, Stan --- then I will have enough bucks to get caught up, my brother!!! I'm not a paid politician and this is my FREE CONTRIBUTION to Beaufort County Conservatism . . . I'm getting between 100 and 200 views with each article by giving you some diversity, man

So quit complaining about your taxes. They will be going up, so pay them, and shut up about it.

Liberals should love to pay taxes anyway. You should know that.

It's Gone with the Wind, bro!!! That happened over political bickering with you and Hood climbing the Conservative Monkey tree.

If we should have a fire and prisoner lives be lost or harmed, you will wish you had done something real instead of the party posturing . . . This has been a problem since the 1980's and is long overdue for solution, bud!!!!

No jail then, right?

And how do you propose we get the 1.4 M already spent bacK?
Commented: Saturday, April 25th, 2015 @ 7:36 pm By: Stan Deatherage
I am interested in the psychotic disorder which made you think I support government spending money it does not have ~~~ nor taxing the mess out us in a failed economy to keep their income at 100% while mine is at 20%. . .
Commented: Saturday, April 25th, 2015 @ 6:38 pm By: Gene Scarborough
Then, why do you support government that spends so much money?

Go back and read your posts and your comments.
Commented: Saturday, April 25th, 2015 @ 2:38 pm By: Stan Deatherage
It did not sink in BECAUSE IT IS COMMON SENSE ~~~ IF THE ECONOMY HAS SMALL BUSINESSES like mine operating on 20% of what I made pre-Recession ~~~ why should government think is should not live in the same world as ME?????
Commented: Saturday, April 25th, 2015 @ 12:27 pm By: Gene Scarborough
I told you this before, but it did not sink in because it is math, and Liberals don't do math very well.

If you lower the tax values by 30%, you then must raise the tax rate by 30%, so you have accomplished nothing.

Here's the link - beaufortcountynow.com - to what I did for an early re-valuation. You can follow the links or Search BCN for more information.

I restate, t no time would lowering the property valuation, to effect how much everyone pays en mass, would make any difference. Only prudent commissioners budgeting tax reserves and making good policy decisions can effect that.

In the last 20 1/2 years, Beaufort County has only two commissioners had the intelligence and the integrity to lead in that direction, but it is well proved that they were not listened to, and, therefore, could not lead.

All of what I write is the only truth here.
