Comments for While LA burns, California legislature approves $25M to fight Trump policies

misplaced priorities

All I know is that before Giuliani was mayor, I did not feel safe on the subway. Before Rudi I dreaded Penn Station. After Rudi, traveling in New York City was a pleasure. LA seems to be in a similar pre-Rudi situation. Blue state politics = disaster.

And now?

Rudi did a great job as Mayor of New York City, far superior to that incompetent boob Karen Bass in Los Angeles.

Not Rudi and the Kraken?

When I see the way Democrats govern, I am more inclined to think a mix of Stalin and Bozo the Clown.

It appears the California Democrats see Trump as the emergency instead of the wildfires.

This global warming propaganda falls apart when you look at the facts. There has been NO INCREASE in acreage burned in wildfires globally in recent years. In fact, it has declined. Some of them have happened in areas that get more attention, and the globalist propagandists on the MSM have used that to distort reality.

Bobbie keeps giving us those cult answers. Windmills has nothing to do with the fact that the California Democrats are giving their attention and money to fighting Trump when they should be giving it to fighting wildfires and helping with the recovery.

Actually both Governor Newsome and Mayor Bass are driven by climate alarmism. That is their tunnel vision in politics, and something convenient to blame their political incompetence in governing on.

Little Bobbie sure is brainwashed into that Climate Scientology cult. Santa Ana winds have been around as long as we have records. They happen at this time of year. So has the El Nino / La Nina cycle. Neither are "change". Also, the longtime pattern is that when you have La Nina, as has just started last year, you have stronger Santa Ana winds. For California, an El Nino pattern gives more rain, but a La Nina pattern gives little rain. A lot of growth of plants followed by drying out is simply what always happens when a La Nina pattern takes over from an El Nino pattern. It is not "climate change". It is a natural climate cycle that has gone on as long as we have records.

Bobbie's brainwashing seems to be as thorough as Greta Thunberg's. Haybe he needs professional help in getting out of that cult.

California is one of the highest taxed states in the country. I believe they have THE highest income tax rates. Yet they have massive infrastructure problems. Blue state blamers cite Trump, climate change and the boogie man. Children with average intelligence could come up with better than that.
Commented: Sunday, January 12th, 2025 @ 7:03 am By: Van Zant
Actually both are driven by climate change.

Like I said the strategy is brilliant.

Problem is, when you run out of windmills to blame, the sh*ts gonna keep coming.

Big Bob: Leftist FEMA ignored open Trump supporters, and were basically absent when help was needed.

Plus, this was a hurricane that was not caused by incompetence, or human error; just "an act of God."

There is nothing similar here between an "act of God" and a mostly man made catastrophe created by ignorant politicians and bureaucrats.

Yeah, Bozo Bob, if the NC General Assembly had appropriated $25 million to fight Biden instead of helping with Hurricane Helene recovery, they would have been just as rotten as the California Democrats ignoring the fire victims and instead spending money on a partisan political gambit against Trump. The NC General Assembly did NOT do that, but the California Democrat-led legislature DID.

It is ONLY the Democrats who are playing politics like this, Dumb Ass.

MAGA- the kings of playing politics.

Imagine treating Western NC like this after the hurricane?

Shameful

One of their biggest cities in their own state is on fire, and these hacks concentrate on partisan national politics?? California badly needs a change in its governance. These Democrats can't govern because all they want to do is play politics while they ignore a disaster of their own making on their own doorstep.

Big Bob: Why are Leftists, like yourself, braindead? Why do Leftists, like yourself, always rally around stupid and corrupt people that just happen to be on your braindead side?

I watched the videos before the pronouncements of your so-called "conservative media," and I could see the problem instantly - NO FIRE TRUCKS - in a potential fire break that was manageable - a sprawling neighborhood with few trees.

If not having enough water was the problem, that is entirely on the braindead Leftists that you always come to the defense of.

Big Bob: When you yourself pick people to vote for, and later defend: Do you always pick the most stupid of the political bunch seeking elected office? Because right now, I would bet the literal ranch that you do.

if you only read conservative media you might think this way
However, the self-serving wild fire native profiteered by reality challenged conservatives is one-sided and often false.

Only Democrats could do something so outrageous. With the Los Angeles wildfires still out of control, the California legislature pays no attention to them, provides no resources for victims, but instead spends their time and the taxpayers money oh a partisan political fight with President Trump. They should hang their heads in shame. This is a party that cannot govern.
