Van Zant: You are right, Charles Hickman, and now Steve Rader have been excellent editions to the school board.
Both of these of these outstanding elected leaders would make constructive and county commissioners, as I am always searching for a way to supplant both the Democratic Socialists and the RINO in my sphere of government. But first, we need a far better educated public; that is our Republic's top priority.

Van Zant: The GOP Executive Committee has more Real Republicans this year than it has had in many decades; the problem is still the leadership, which got in by the slimmest of margins.
Some of us still hold out hope, and yes, there must be accountability.

JV: Concerning the Executive Committee being in the dark, that IS very concerning. So far, this new Republican Executive Committee has been severely marginalized by the insiders. The insiders should be punished for their overreaching the bounds of legitimate duties and powers and infringing on the powers and duties of the Executive Committee. We can all see the things they have done in the name of the Party without Executive Committee approval. Executive Committee members should be interested in what they have done with Executive Committee money.
It is unfortunate that the manipulators have postponed any "showdown" on their indiscretions until the meat of election season. I have been told they have not met in months. Do they think they should not be accountable? I suppose so. Operating like that is not appropriate, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was entirely on purpose. That is real arrogance. In recent years the state Republican party has been a poor example to follow. Lately the Beaufort County Republican Party is in the running for even exceeding them in depravity.

I strongly urge members of the Executive Committee to please consider holding an emergency meeting to address issues of unauthorized financial transactions and party disloyalty. "Infighting" is what they want and we ain't giving it to 'em. If they want to be stupid, they've got to be tough.
There is substantial probable cause to be bring up charges on both accounts of what I've listed above. The shenaniganry can stop and will stop if the people continue to find out what these sick bastards have done with OUR money. The people have a right to know what's being done and has been done with their money. There's a problem when the people CAN'T find out what's been done with their money.

CV: Thanks CV. I had heard that Candidate Davis was a current teacher. Since I am a reluctant authority on Conflict of Interest, if that had been case, it would have been an untenable position for Candidate Davis to possibly be elected without having the capability to vote on any issues.

Stan, she is a retired teacher, and from what I hear was recruited by Carolyn Walker, the head cheerleader for Superintendent Cheeseman on the school board. One particular reason that a retired school teacher would be a bad fit for a school board is that all of her career, she would have looked at the superintendent as the top of her food chain, and so would likely continue to do so as a board member. In fact as a board member, the superintendent would be her employee. That is far from the best situation if we want to have a school board that looks out primarily for the parents and taxpayers.

CV and RH: Steve Rader and Charles Hickman both have pretty impressive resumes. Just looking at the Republican Party resume part, I know that both are former Republican Party District Chairmen. There's plenty more. I know that off the top of my head. I wonder just what could these self-proclaimed "true Republicans" have against them.

Another warmed over Democrat masquerading as a "Republican". We have seen this movie before - Frankie Waters, Randy Walker, Carolyn Walker - we know how it ends. These people remain Democrats on the inside while pretending on the outside to be Republicans. The Republican Party does not need what this Monica Davis is selling. That Armstrong dude who had a history as a big Marc Basnight Democrat in Hyde County is another example. No thank you!

The Cheeseman faction is out to get conservatives. A Democrat-turned-Republican retired school teacher named Monica Davis has filed against conservative incumbent Steve Rader and a young RINO college student named Austin Garris has announced against Charles Hickman.
Monica Davis registered Democrat in Beaufort County in 1990, regularly voted in Democrat primaries, and has only been voting in Republican primaries since 2024. Rader has consistently been registered as a Republican in Beaufort County since he first registered to vote here in 1978, and is also a longtime leader in the party.

RH: You're right. Also, it is mind boggling how fast the county Republican Chairperson, and others, jumped into the fray. Someone should have informed the mainstream press that she (the Chairperson) is not the Beaufort County Republican Party. When she portrayed herself as such, she actually usurped the power and authority of the Republican Executive Committee. I've heard nothing about her having to answer to any of this. This reflects badly on the local Republican Party.
I also have heard nothing about the Superintendent having to answer to the School Board about his swift actions taken without Board knowledge. I imagine there could be legal implications in this also. Beaufort County needs to clean itself up. All this makes us look bad.

Speaking of public officials, I'm wondering if the Washington Police Chief who accepted a "demotion," because, as the City Manager said, he was a "team Player," should be re-promoted...unless he was actually guilty of wrong doing, or, knew things he shouldnt know.
Inquiring minds want to know. Can we get the truth now that the City has been freed? The Truth shall set us free!

The attacks against Ms. Davis were organized by Cheeseman, who does not like independent thinkers on the school board. He prefers puppets like Carolyn Walker. Those attacks do not represent the public.

The attacks leveled against Ms. Davis show just how much resistance there is in this county to public officials that do more than just go along to get along. Davis is being harassed for doing the job she was elected to do. Thanks to the Conservative Club for recognizing her efforts.

There must be, at some proper point, a resolution for the RINO infestation that now has encumbered Beaufort County politics and governing for going on two decades.
