Florida has done a lot to rid itself of illegal aliens by strict mandates on use of E-verify by employers to confirm legal status. Many illegal aliens have left the state shown by a dramatic decline in illegal alien hospital care. But $660 Million after those restrictions were put in place is appalling. Liberal states like California, New York, and Illinois are paying a lot more. Maybe ICE should stake out hospital Emergency Rooms to arrest illegal aliens for deportation.

For the longer term, the regulatory powers of the EPA need to be severely limited. They have too much power to screw the economy and family budgets. Zeldin is a hero, but who knows how the next one will be. His predecessor was an eco-fascist terror. And YES, NC does need to deep six that Berger rewrite of HB951

Wow, what a great idea to let citizens help root out these parasites and send them home. What is happening to hospitals in Florida is happening all over the country, and that makes American citizens have to pay more for our medical care and our medical insurance. Just one more reason we need to send the illegal aliens home where they belong.
Hospitals need to be freed from the statutory obligation to care for illegal aliens other than acute emergencies, for which they should be stabilized and given a plane ticket home. Chronic conditions should never be on the hospital's dime. The illegal alien should be given a plane ticket home for care.

The USAID Deep State bureaucrats were and are clearly a bunch of crooks who are now trying to destroy the evidence of their corruption. Every one of them who participated in this destruction of evidence needs to be fired for cause, have their pension revoked, and be prosecuted. DOGE did a great service in exposing this cesspool of corruption.

All of these climate doom predictions have turned out to be nothing but hot air every time the date they were supposed to happen passes. Chicken Little should indeed be the symbol of the climate alarmist movement. Or maybe the European farmers have an even better one. They call it "climate communism" with a hammer and sickle as the climate alarmist symbol.

Commented on National County Commissioners’ MeetingGathering from the several points brought up by Unca Hood, one could surmise that the topics of conversation are eerily similar to the technocratic "Western Expansion"-isque government grab operations going on here in ....Beaufort County, if current trends continue.
I'm very skeptical of technocrats being so entrenched in President Trump's administration and, not so covertly, the GOP. They're possibly setting up programs to condition Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public, along with the little heathen Q. Publics of the world, to accept the new Quantum-AI regulated systems of information, finance and....wait for it....voting. Kissinger laid it out in his book, "The New Order": "people will either accept the transhuman-AI agenda or they will rise up against us." There were no other scenarios, folks; that's the whole shooting match. If they're serious about REALLY pushing it, watch how state legislators began selling it in the NC House.

New EPA Director Lee Zeldin has cut $1.7 Billion in DEI money at the EPA. With previous cuts, this makes over $2 Billion of this waste cut at DPR. None of this crap was ever approved by Congress.
redstate.com It is no surprise about Briner. He was a supporter of the Marxist BLM during their nationawide riots in 2020. He is a white male version of AOC who does not belong in the GOP, but then neither does his political godrather Berger.

Brad Briner IV and Phil Berger are both despicable liberal RINOs who are detrimental to the Republican Party. Both are fake Republicans who support Democrat policy. In Berger's case, he is the one primarily responsible for getting Roy Cooper's liberal policies like Obamacare Medicaid expansion, Green New Deal, and allowing biological males in womens restrooms and locker rooms passed in the General Assembly.
Berger already has a primary for his senate seat in 2026 from his county's conservative sheriff. We need a primary for liberal Briner. Berger also has party disloyalty charges pending against him in front of the state GOP executive committee for endorsing a very liberal Democrat jduge against a conservative Republican challenger. If our cowardly state GOP chairman will quit covering up for Berger, we should get that heard before the state convention. Otherwise the state chairman is useless and needs to be tossed out himself.

Commented on A Question of EthicsVan Zant: Having served with, and against, the Center-Left Coalition, those whose who swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County, in some various iteration of theirs for the last nearly 15 years, I have had the great displeasure of learning how to exist in slow successful measures, while begrudgingly working with these intellectually challenged political figures.
And, while the Center-Left Coalition does some incredibly stupid stuff, in both word and deed, Commissioner Richardson and I, however deeply frustrated we may appear outwardly, well know how to keep these self-styled marianets in their appointed self-constructed box. Accordingly, the current school board needs to begin the process to form a coalition of Republican badasses to begin what will begin the intense process of forming a shadow political insurgency to remove those among themselves, who could never lead these public schools out of the deep shadows in which they are now intellectually and politically enshrouded. I honestly know in the deepest recesses of my optimistic political heart that we are just one election away from a conservative revolution here on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners, and in that same note of optimism, I am hopeful for the Beaufort County School Board as well.

Commented on A Question of EthicsMust a struck a nerve with the matrimonial board members. It seems the appearance of impropriety is of no consequence to the commission husbands. Quite the contrary since the response is to double down.
As screwed up as the BC Commission is, at least you can tell who the board members are and who the staff members are. The lines are so blurred on the BC School Board. It's like alternate reality.

Commented on A Question of EthicsI watch th Mar3 Commissioners meeting,& saw a Clown Show!
What an embarrassment Ed Booth is to th pple of this county. He completely slanders Hood right there n front of th world. He should resign n shame. His lack of integrity&judgment was n full view. The 4 I refer to as Mr Opposites is bec they consistently vote nay to anything Hood purposes. Even simply a light to let them know when they are being recorded was too much 4 them. However w/out even a night to sleeping on it, they voted to pay $500,000 for 4ac. NOW THAT contrast is a perfect example of what is wrong w th 4 Mr. Opposites. They made fools of selves & now they just want to move on & hide their errors by not demanding a title search to resolve any festering doubts abt th dishonesty of that whole boondoggle. I feel bad 4 Hood&Stan saying this, but I think we need term limits. All BAD BAD stuff going on here in BeaufortCounty&Washington Govt, however Stan made an inspiring speech during the Comments section. Part 1 of 2.

All Bad BAD BAD stuff going on here in Beaufort County & Washington City Govt., however Stan made a speech immediately after the call for Commissioner comments that I found inspiring. Good job Stan. Sooo since lawyers are worthless, how do the citizens force justice on the unethical? HOw do WeThePpl find a entity in Federal or State Govt that will bring a hammer down on those cheating us of the right to have a Govt OF the Ppl? Or as I often say, we have NO rights, we only think we do. Get crosswise to any Govt body or its agencies and you will quickly find out.
