Those EPA funding pools under Biden were little more than political slush funds. Fortunately, it looks like taxpayers will get that money back. That should not be enough though. Those involved in this fraud should be prosecutred and jailed, both those who set it up at EPA and those who had their hands in the cookie jar.
It is being reported that there will be some criminal referals on the USAID fraud, so hopefully there will be some on the EPA fraud.

Let me get this straight. Bozo Bob opposes rounding up illegal alien criminals like MS13 and Tren de Aragua? These people not only broke the law to come into our country but also committed crimes against Americans after they got here. Why in the world would anyone in their right mind oppose sending these criminals back where they came from?
We have a legal system for legitimate immigration but these scoflaw illegal aliens refuse to use it. That system actually makes it easier to legally immigrate from a Third World country than from Europe. It is hardly racist. What IS racist is some people thinking their ethnicity gives them an entitlement to break the law.

We went to war with England over taxes and lack of representation. Carlo Cipolla, an economic historian, noted that absolute monarchs never drew more than 5-8% of their nation’s income in taxes but today our federal government extorts between 40-60% in direct and indirect taxes. This trickles down through all levels of government. We need a fundamental change in Beaufort County that will destroy the current system that has produced bad and ugly, self-serving politicians and restore a government that allows for the development of, and is run by, statesmen. This is what a liberty-based society is built upon, as originally envisioned by our founding fathers and spelled out in the founding documents. The essence of a liberty-based society is that it has limited government, sound money, low taxes and is based on the free and unfettered consent of the governed. This has not existed in America for more than a century and a half. It doesn’t have to remain this way in our county, state or country. The population is starting to wake up and realize this. We also need a School Board that stands up to a leftist Superintendent who prioritizes indoctrination over actual education so that our children don’t grow up misguided and susceptible to the continued abuse inflicted upon our population by self-serving politicians and bureaucrats. IT IS TIME FOR OVERDUE, MUCH NEEDED, CHANGE! BRING ON DOGE! I encourage everyone to attend the Commissioner’s meeting Monday, March 10th at 5:30 and make your voices heard.

Commented on Beaufort County School Board, Pomp and CeremonyVan Zant: It will take a concentrated effort to bring to light the sins committed by the Superintendent and Board to the public at large. These people work for us, the constituents, and we need to remind them of it by showing up to meetings, speaking out against what is happening, and electing individuals who actually realize they represent the people who placed them in their positions. The last time I read the Constitution it said that our system of government is based upon the free and unfettered consent of the governed. Elected officials serve the public, not the other way around. Their power is derived from the people who elected them. At least that's how it is supposed to work in our free society as opposed to an empire or dictatorship. We must elect strong individuals of high moral character who understand this and have the fortitude and courage to do what is right and not operate like those currently filling these seats as discussed in previous comments below. The hypocrisy continues with these elected officials paying lip service to the public while pursuing their own personal agendas which place their own personal interests above those of the people they are meant to represent. One of the most, if not the most, important and expensive crops in Beaufort County is the crop of children. It takes as much time to mature such a crop as it does a fast-growing forest, and it requires constant care. A 2021 analysis by LendingTree ranked North Carolina as the 44th most expensive state to raise a child, with an annual cost of $16,444, or $295,000 over the span of 18 years. The fraud, waste and abuse of our taxpayer dollars by the current Superintendent, School Board, and County Commissioners are failing our children. This has a direct impact on many other aspects of life in our county. An uneducated, or undereducated, population does not provide businesses with the workforce required to be successful. It does not attract outside investment or bring new opportunities to the county. Unfortunately, many of our best educated youth do not stay at home after they grow up. Many of them relocate to distant cities or even leave our great State. As a matter of fact, we are “exporting” our children, our most valuable commodity, leaving our county which paid to raise them with no return in wealth for their loss. This is irresponsible, unsustainable and must be corrected if we don’t want to become a bedroom community for retired Yankees and our citizens relegated to low paying jobs to cater to these outsiders.

Bobbie should be reminded that polls show a majority of Hispanic American voters and majority of black voters SUPPORT enforcing our immigration laws and deporting the violators.

I noticed that only one of the two newest board members voted for new board leadership. If both had voted for new leadership, it would have happened. So far it appears that the recent election has changed nothing.
Same with the board of commissioners. The recent election has put them one vote away from new leadership instead of two votes from new leadership. So, in a re-evaluation year we seem to be on track for some very real tax increases.

Commented on Beaufort County School Board, Pomp and CeremonyFor the last two elections five new school board members have been elected. Here is what has NOT changed:
1) The Superintendent and his assistant continue to sit dead center at the side of the same Chairman. 2) Other favored members sort of flank them. 3) Board members with a history of asking hard questions seem to be strown and scattered on the fringes. 4) Visitors are seated off to the side while individual school staff members sit dead center up front in the audience. 5) Visitors have to strain to hear board business. 6) The video is poor quality and hard to follow. At key times the audio doesn't work. 7) The school board lawyer still lives in Durham County, is still Chairman of the Durham County Democrat Party, and still has his primary job in Wake County. That's what it looks like to me, and that leads me to wonder what it will take to have a school board that will actually BE a board.

The damn Yankees coming down here to establish their hook-nosed "Retirement Communities" is what got all of this started. Now, because THAT plan is burning like a turd in a paper grocery bag, let's just tax the living hell out of the people of Beaufort County and blame it on Trump tax cuts?!?! Biden's whole Green New Deal was nothing but Climate Industrial Complex grift. Not only are these bad loans blowing up, but they got caught with their $20 Billion slush fund of handing out money to Democrat political operatives through EPA. One of their EPA political appointees had the audacity to call that program "tossing gold bars off of the Titanic".
They had the gall to call this Green New Deal legislation the "Inflation Reduction Act", an exercise in Orwellian Newspeak. That bill actually INCREASED inflation, both indirectly by an explosion in deficit spending, but also directly by raising energy costs, something that impacts to the price of just about everything. We need to call out the RINOs who helped Biden do it, and that includes Thom Tillis. These RINOs gave their votes to Biden's earlier misnamed Infrastructure bill, so that Biden did not have to use a "Reconciliation" slot for that. By doing so, Tillis and the others preserved the reconsiliation slot so Biden could use it to pass his "Infation Reduction" Green New Deal bill. Tillis needs to be replaced in the priamry in 2026. WE need to bounce Traitor Thom out of the US Senate.
