Stan, I read your comment twice. My first thought, wow, what a nice gesture. I could write that story and BO post it. And that is the trap white people fall into. How can I, a white man, tell the story of indigenous culture and their experience with the Europeans who emigrated here 300 plus years ago?

I cant do that. It's not my story to tell. I could never tell it accurately and exactly why it's important to teach history from multiple perspectives.
White people fairy tales cannot, and should not, be the whole story.

This Dutch election will really shake up the globalists in Europe, coupled with the last Swiss election, Sweden, Italy, etc. and the strong showing by anti-immigration parties in polls in places like Germany, France, and Austria. With 2/3rds of parliament upset about illegal immigration, things are going to start happening, and Nexit would be nice, too.

Asylum rules are being widely abused by economic migrants all over the world. It is worst in western countries like the US and Europe, but as South Africa shows, it is not exclusive to western countries. Junking those asylum rules as South Africa is doing is well justified, given all the abuse of them. There is another approach as used by Hungary and that is to not allow migrants already in a safe country to enter. Even under the present asylum rules, they can be turned back and they should be.

Paper ballots provide a more honest and dependable result. It is good to see this case going forward. The fact that Argentina did away with all its voting machines and went back to paper ballots probably has a lot to do with the honest election result of the conservative candidate there.

Stan, the Climate-Industrial Complex (great term, BTW!) that is pushing wind and solar is one of the biggest threats to trees in the world today. Scotland's government forestry office has calculated that 13.1 million trees have been cut down just on government land, not counting private land, in Scotland to build wind turbines and solar farms. That does not even count the rest of the UK, either. The "Green" Party government of the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg is turning parts of the Black Forest to sawdust to build wind farms. Real environmentalists have been called "tree huggers" for many years but those in the climate carbon cult seem to be tree haters. It is not just the Amazon, but the Climate-Industrial Complex is causing deforestation all over the world.

If they were really concerned about CO2, cutting trees down would be stupid since trees absorb CO2 in the photosynthesis process and give off oxygen. But honest scientists will tell you that CO2 has nothing to do with climate in the first place. It is a very minor greenshouse gas, and the greenhouse effect is essential to life on Earth. The most important greenhouse gas is water vapor, which accounts for over 90% of the greenhouse effect.
