Most people forget that after Sadler's 12% tax increase last year, he pushed another 8% tax increase this year on top of it. Only when Gary Ceres organized taxpayer opposition to it did Sadler take it off the table. We need to thank Ceres for that. He, Pitt, and Roberson were the taxpayer heros over the past two years. When Sadler was afraid to go forward with his new tax increase, he punted and raised the stormwater fees instead.

The "Stormwater Utility" has always been a bad joke. While the council action that started it dictated that the money flowing into it could only go to stormwater drainage system improvements, very little of the money is actually spent for that and most is diverted elsewhere in the city budget. It is little more than a scam on property owners.

I hear the Chamber of Commerce is pushing Brabo. Maybe Brabo's refusal to tell people where she stands on issues is related to the Chamber not sponsoring a candidate forum this year, for the first time in many years, to protect her from having to answer or duck questions.

A candidate who is afraid to tell you where they stand is a politician I simply don't trust.

NCInnovation is a terrible misuse of taxpayer money but it is par for the course for an Obama Republican like Phil "Boss Hogg" Berger. Berger already pushed through a lot of Cooper and Biden's agenda like the Obamacare Medicaid expansion and the Green New Deal, and "Casino Jim" Perry was right there with him on all of this left wing legislation. Both need to be run out of office on a rail by primary voters.

There is a real trend in Europe of voters turning to parties which want to stop the mass invasion by illegal alien migrants who call themselves "asylum seekers" although most of them know they do not qualify for asylum. That trend is also strong among voters in Germany and Austria.

What is interesting is that trend is also moving to the left as well, as shown by Smer and Hlas which are mixed bags ideologically. Germany may get even more interesting, as the far left Left Party's most popular leader has resigned and many believe she is on the verge of launching a populist anti-woke, anti-immigration party of the left in that country, which would smash the Left Party and seriously undercut the Social Democrats according to polls.

An example of such is this Social Networking Platform of mine is not the "BO;" it is Eastern NOW (easternncnow.com , easternnorthcarolina now.com , beaufortcountynow.com), and it is the an outlet of journalism that takes a backseat to none here in this region of North Carolina.
