Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsCont. from comment 1: Many in my community have reached out to me and were simply not satisfied with Mr. Hickman's leadership. They felt that this was not an overnight problem and that he did not do enough in his first two years on the board to help prevent the eventual result. Now to my youth. We have seen across the country a passing of the torch and an influx of youth into both parties. This should not be feared but celebrated, especially in the conservative movement. Students have been elected to statewide and municipal offices across the state. I would be the closest removed from Primary and Secondary education on the board, able to understand more closely the struggles that students and teachers alike are dealing with. I think this is a very positive trait to have. In further comments or communications, I can go more in-depth on my views and goals. They are simply too much for this thread. God Bless.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsConservative Voter, thank you for your respectful response. I can admit, I do not have the life experience that Mr. Hickman does, though I do not believe his particular experience is necessary for a school board seat. I am a full-time student at ECU studying Political Science and History, with the goal of attaining my PhD and teaching at the university level. In my early years of college, I also worked full-time for the Town of Aurora, getting to know the people of my community intimately. I am also a dependent of family, as a full time student it would simply not be feasible to live on my own. I have no shame in that. As to your point about my involvement in the protest for the closing of Snowden School, I spoke out vehemently against it to many both in my community and in positions of power. I did not believe at the time that making what would ultimately be a political statement, as some did, at the expense of those I care about was the best course of action. Cont.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsMr. Garrison, could you explain what life experience you have that would qualify you for the school board. Have you been in the military like Charles Hickman, or run your own business like Mr. Hickman? Do you have experience actually teaching school like Mr. Hickman? What full time jobs have your held? Are you living independently away from your parents or other relatives and for how long?
Charles HIckman did a good job communicating on behalf of Aurora residents and with Aurora residents to stand up for Snowden school. From what I am told, you were in the audience at some of those meetings but did not speak up on behalf of the Richlands township / Aurora community. You were MIA on Snowden. Your silence on Snowden was deafening. We have seen the positive communications from Mr. Hickman and the glaring lack of communication from you on the most important education issue for that community in a long time.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsGood Afternoon, Everyone. I am the so called "unknown" "young homosexual" from the southside of the river. I would like to first put this out there though I do not believe it matters, I am not a homosexual. I'm not sure who would post something like that about me and why, but it is incredibly childish and unhelpful when adults are attempting to have conversations about actual policy. To Commissioners Deatherage and Richardson (those people who ACTUALLY hold elected office in this county, rather than some unknown troll on a web forum) I would be more than happy to sit down and answer questions about why I am running. I have nothing against Mr. Hickman and him and I have had many good conversations, especially in regards to the school closure in my home of Aurora. I simply feel that youth and positive communication ability are sorely needed to make this county as great as I know it can be. I would love to talk at our next BCGOP meeting with those who want to have REAL conersation. Best.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsVan Zant: I knew that there was some unknown "Republican" running against my good friend, and Conservative ally, Charles Hickman, but I was not aware that he was recruited by RINO Whisperers within the Beaufort County GOP.
Well, if the "Unknown 'Republican'" wishes to make himself known, he better speak loud and clear to real Republicans, and this publication is the touchstone of most real Republicans in this county of Beaufort. Maybe he can inform us all why he is better suited to serve as a Beaufort County School Board member rather than Conservative Charles Hickman.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsHer idea of "doing something" about conservative school board members, from what I hear, includes talking a young homosexual into running against one of the incumbent conservative school board members south of the river. She is poison.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsRH: As party vice chair that woman has worked against conservative Republicans for years. At the polls in Washington in a previous year's municipal race she was holding forth before the public about having to do something about conservative Republican school board members. She's been spewing poison for a long time with no repercussions from the party.
I'm also hearing that Ms. Forest recruited that guy planning to run against Mr. Hickman in the School Board primary. I don't know, but I do remember that guy said she was a political mentor of his when he was running for the vice chair position she had been in, so it could be true. Also, thank goodness Mrs. Knight won that vice chair race in the convention. Stan: That's the thing. Look for the real conservatives in the primaries. We don't need a choice between Dems and Dem lights in general elections. For a county that votes conservative in state and national elections Beaufort County has a lot of Dem lights elected locally. We end up paying for it too.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsThat Forest woman was a piece of work, vice chairman of the local party and headquarters manager but she regularly badmouthed conservative candidates right there in the headquarters. I had heard that she was gone but somebody saw her at the GOP tent at early elections. So, has she turned up again, like a bad penny?

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsStan: Yeah, conservatives need to come out heavy in the primaries to support you and all proven conservatives. These RINO GOPers get way more excited about beating conservative Republicans than they do about defeating Democrats.
I've also about run out of patience with those that run as conservatives while working against conservatives. How can people working against me be for me? It does not compute. It's a diabolical self-serving game they are playing.

Commented on Obama Campaigns With Scandal-Plagued Virginia Dem Who Fantasized About Murdering OpponentsBarack Hussein Obama's greatest distinction was to be the first president in modern times to supplant President Jimmy Carter from the status of the worst president; of course, Vegetable President Biden easily supplanted Non Patriot President Obama just 4 years later.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsVan Zant: Every general election that I have won for the Beaufort County Commission over the last two decades, I have felt that I was fighting more than just the Democratic Socialist party, and for the last two general election cycles it has gotten much worse.
I have a hunch that my primary for the my re-election will be greatly contested by the Beaufort County GOP RINOs. In this upcoming primary, although I do very well in Beaufort County General Elections, I will need every real Conservative in Beaufort County to find their way to the polls to enthusiastically vote for this one real, proven Conservative - Stan Deatherage - in the 2026 Republican primary. This may be the first, but will not be the only time that Conservative Stan Deatherage will be humbly asking for the wise votes of all real Conservatives.

According to a report at yesterday's meeting of the NC Republican State Executive Committee which I attended, our North Carolina Board of Elections is also in the process of using the federal SAVE database, made available to state election officials by President Trump, to identify and remove non-citizens from our NC voter rolls. It was not stated whether they would be turned over for prosecution, but I would imagine that they would be.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsWhoa. One of the crucial nasty little truths has come out. From this County GOP self-proclaimed intelligentsia camp, is there even one example of a NATIVE conservative NOT being opposed? From this crowd only the outsiders parachuted in and the native RINO/Democrats get a pass. Fact.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsFor the record....just because you've lived in Cypress Landing for 15 years and have several extra stacks of Yankee money at your disposal doesn't qualify nor guarantee one admittance into local leadership.
If anything, one would be further questioned if they came to a Confederate State with their Northern politics and all their worthless Yankee money to "invest" do they can ultimately come down here to screw up our way of life and then die. They leave us holding the bag. It's a simple fix. They can go back to where they came from and deal with the crap they created. We didn't need them before, we don't need them now.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsThe problem is that the local GOP Executive committee is loyal to the big dogs in Raleigh and above. NOT to the Local GOP members.
This is because that is where the REWARDS come from, NOT from the powerless WeThePpl of the local description. Everyone is seeking power from the people with the power to give it!! Its heartbreaking. "Lord Give Me Patience, because if you give me Strength I'm going to need bail money."

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsSteve: Questions must answered about the spending of the money.
When I ran for elected office, probably because of the RINOs that the Beaufort County GOP actively support, which are also my Democrat adversaries, there is no real spending of the money to support me and my Conservative constituents; just that "Forest Woman" running her fool RINO Whispering mouth at the GOP headquarters. There are questions that must be answered going forward; all real Conservatives know that.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsY'all, pay close attention to what Mr. Steve (Rader) just said......I think he's onto something😎.
Both the left corner and the right corner are using the same strategy; it's just being SOLD with different packaging. Hmmmm....what have we just seen, many times over, HERE? Native family representatives are going to have to get involved, in some capacity, to demand accountability and change for this problem to be corrected. The County GOP shall "Make BOCO Great Again" by removing and barring any outside alien from local leadership until proven to have a genuine knowledge of local culture, bull**** and etc. Common sense vetting; this isn't radical, it's simple logic.

Commented on Another Political Campaign BeginsStan, Republicans have been active in "non-partisan" elections as long as I can remember. When I was still registered to vote in Mecklenburg County in the early 1970s, the local Republican Party there noted that Charlotte was then voting Republican in elections where party labels were on the ballot, but elected Democrats to city office where party labels were not on the ballot. They started widely advertising who the Republicans on the ballot were and started winning most of the city races. Of course, Charlotte has now gone the other direction, and that has not worked in a number of years. I think McCrory as mayor was the last one who benefited before politics there shifted.
At one time, the same dynamics applied in Raleigh, and the Wake County GOP was heavily involved in getting Republican Tom Fetzer elected mayor in a nominally non-partisan race. Of course, partisan dynamics have changed there, too, since that time. Back when judicial races were "non-partisan", the Republican Party was active statewide in working to elect the Republicans who were running for judgeships. This year, the party on the congressional district level, and to a large degree on the state level pushed local parties getting involved in electing Republicans to city offices in officially "non-partisan" races. This is nothing new. It has been going on for some time, and Democrats also do it on their side of the fence many places.
