Valley, do you think that passports or drivers licenses are "digital IDs"? They are not. They are physical IDs, and that is what is used in every photo voter ID system I have ever heard of, here or abroad.

I agree that digital IDs carry a massive threat of authoritarianism if not totalitarianism. However, where countries, primarily in Europe, are trying to make inroads on this front is not with voting systems, but with banking systems (digital euro) and social media. Of course, Putin is also coming out with the e-ruble to push the surveillance state.

Requiring a physical photo ID to vote helps stop vote fraud and presents NO threat of a slippery slope to a digital ID. What you do need to watch out for is the Fed trying to shove a "digital dollar" on us.

Both the KIDS Act and SAVE America Act converge on one point: the forced digitization of identity in the US; I have warned about the possibility of a digital ID being sold to Conservatives under the guise of "National Security" or "Election Integrity". Using a driver's license isn't good enough for them, they want everyone to have a Real(time) ID voting card so they can track you even more.

Tillis is an idiot and is still playing along with the script though it looks like he's not.

It's all theater to make you think they actually give a damn about Election Integrity when, in fact, none of them really do.

North Carolina should indeed adopt a similar law making it a state crime for an illegal alien to be in our state. Courts have approved such laws in two other states so far. The problem? Big Ag which sees exploitation of illegal alien labor as part of their business model. Our own district just kicked out a legislator who is a champion of border security, Keith Kidwell, to replace him with a Big Ag hack. Shameful. Elections have consequences.

The Amy Comey Barrett problem is not primarily a DEI problem. It is primarily a fixation on Roe v. Wade problem. Those making court picks in the first Trump administration, especially for the SCOTUS had such a tunnel vision on Roe v. Wade that they neglected to vet like they should have on other issue areas. Barrett voted fine on abortion issues but has been lacking in so many other issues. Don't get me wrong. I personally rejoiced at the reversal of Roe v. Wade. but Barrett screws up far too often on much more important issues like this insanity of birthright citizenship and freedom of speech. Thomas and Alito are full spectrum conservatives and much more trustworthy than anyone Trump has appointed to the SCOTUS. I think Trump has realized this and that his future appointees will be more like Alito and Thomas than his first term appointees. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh sometimes go bad, too, but not nearly as often as Barrett. I saw on another site where someone called her Amy Commie Barrett.

Thune's refusal so far to replace the partisan Democrat hack who serves as parliamentarian of the senate is also a huge roadblock because that office determines what is allowed in a "reconciliation" bill that is exempt from the filibuster. The current holder of that office was appointed by Harry Reid and has a history of letting Democrat put whatever they want in a reconciliation bill but highly restricting Republicans. She should have been shown the door as soon as Republicans took Senate control, but Mitch McConnell refused to do that, and so far, so has Thune. This Either that Democrat hack needs to go or the filibuster does.

Little Bobbie, it was a lot hotter than it is today during the previous warm cycle, the centuries long Medieval Warm Period, and our planet thrived. Indeed, the very hottest of past warm cycles, the Holocene Maximum, was much much warmer than toda y, and that coincided with the heyday of ancient Greek civilization. You climate alarmists simply don't know your climate history. Warming cycles have always been followed by cooling cycles.
