    Robert S. "Budd" Rogers Sr., age 88 died January 11, 2014 at his home with his wife, Lois, of 24 years by his side. He was the son of the late Joseph M. & Alice (Jackson) Rogers.

    Budd was born in Washington, Beaufort County, NC on July 26, 1925 and was a graduate of Washington High School in 1948. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1944 through 1946 during WWII. He graduated and earned a degree from Boston University in 1952. He worked for the Shawmut Bank for 38 years where he started as a clerk and advanced to be a Vice President for the bank before his retirement.

    Beloved husband of Lois F. Moore-Rogers for 24 years until his death on Saturday. They were married on December 3, 1989 at the Martha Mary Chapel in Sudbury, MA. Budd enjoyed all the New England sports teams, the Patriots, the Red Sox and the Bruins. In addition he thoroughly enjoyed playing golf, cooking, gardening and designing things around his home. Budd was also a great people person. He loved talking and sharing stories with anyone who was willing to listen. He was a 60 year member of the Masons and presently a member of the Saint Alban's Lodge A. F & A.M. in Foxborough.

    Budd was first married to the late Sally Rogers. They had three children, Robert S. Rogers, Jr. of Wayland, MA, Susan E. (Rogers) Tammany of North Attleboro and Carolyn A (Rogers) Spearin of Warwick, RI. He had 5 grandchildren, Seth J. Rogers, Emily P. Rogers, Joshua F. Spearin, Corey J. Spearin and the late Benjamin K. Rogers. Budd is also predeceased by eleven siblings.

    Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service at 11 am Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 63 Rockwood Rd., Norfolk.
