    Mary Elizabeth Jefferson Cutler, age 82, a resident of Railroad St., Pinetown, NC, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    There will be a celebration of her life at 10:30 am, Monday, January 20 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, officiated by Lyn Barnes. Burial will follow in the Cutler Family Cemetery. Larry Jefferson, David Earl Jefferson, Kenny Jefferson, Walt Wallace, Andy Wallace, and Shawn Cutler will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC and the home of Louise Ambrose, 1850 Mill Hole Rd., Washington, NC.

    Ms. Cutler was born November 15, 1931 in Beaufort County, daughter of the late Charlie Jefferson, mother Margaret McFarland and step mother Lillie Jefferson. She graduated from Bath High School and married Clyde Duffie Cutler, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was retired from Flander's Filters. Ms. Cutler was a member of Pinetown Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was devoted to her church and her family.

    She is survived by her sons, Clyde D. Cutler, Jr. and wife Lois, James Mitchell Cutler, Allen Ray Cutler and wife Sue and Michael Lynn Cutler all of Washington, and John William Cutler of Blounts Creek; her daughters, Mary Anna Dillahunty of Virginia Beach and Louise Ambrose and husband Alvin of Washington; her brothers, Larry, Kenny and David Earl Jefferson all of Washington; her sisters, Patricia Davis of Moundville, AL and Betty Lou Suggs of Orlando, FL; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

    In addition her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pete Jefferson; her sister, Thelma Alligood; her granddaughters, Mandy Dawn Wallace and Elizabeth Hope Cutler.
