Press Release:

WASHINGTON, D.C.     Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) issued the following statement after the release of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) latest report, which estimates that President Obama’s healthcare law will cause the loss of 2.5 million full-time jobs over the next 10 years.

“The CBO report only confirms what we already know – this unprecedented takeover of our healthcare system is a burden on families in Eastern North Carolina and across the country,” said Congressman Jones. “Not only have individuals suffered canceled insurance plans and skyrocketing premiums, we are facing the harsh reality that 2.5 million full-time jobs will disappear as a direct result of Obamacare. The American people simply cannot afford this.”

Congressman Jones voted against Obamacare each time it was considered in the House, and he has cosponsored every bill aimed at repealing or defunding the law.
