    Barbara Oliver Ford, 71, a resident of 228 Village Circle, Washington, NC died Sunday May 4, 2014 at her home.

    The family will receive friends at 6 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, NC. A memorial service officiated by Gene Andrews will follow in the Chapel.

    Entombment will be at Reagan Cemetery, Dillon, SC at a later date.

    Barbara was born in Sullivan's Island, SC, on July 26, 1942, son of Harry McNeill Oliver and Olive Ann Creighton Oliver. She was a graduate of Dillon High School in 1960. She attended Limestone College in Gaffney, SC and earned a BS in Psychology from USC, Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC.

    She was preceded by the death of her son David McNeil Ford of Myrtle Beach, SC. Barbara is survived by three children, P. Travis Ford III of Greenville, Carolyn Ford-Ashley of Washington, and Michael T. Ford of Norwich, CT; two siblings, Michael T. Oliver of Pawley's Island, SC and Mary Oliver Shockley of Walterboro, SC; and five grandchildren, Lauren B. Ashley, Cameron M. Ashley, Brandon C. Ford, Victoria C. M. Ford, and Alexandrea N. Ford.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests for memorial contributions to be made to Eagle's Wings, 932 West 3rd Street, Washington, NC 27889.
