Al Alford II [UPDATED] | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Al Alford II, age 71, a resident of 111 Landon Drive, Washington, NC died Monday July 21, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 26, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Travis Boyd.

    The family will receive friends at the home located at 111 Landon Drive, Washington, NC.

    Mr. Al was born in Newport, Rode Island on August 3, 1942 son of the late Armand C. Alford and the late Hilda Frascia Alford. Following high school he served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On September 4, 1983 he married the former Alice May Gibble who survives. Mr. Al has worked for the last thirty one years as an RV mechanic with Crisp RV Center of Chocowinity.

    Surviving along with his wife Alice of the home are four daughters: Kellie Dunne of Newport, NC, Kim Dickson and her husband Steve of Thompson, CT, Karen Selby and her husband Reggie of Washington and Kristie Tripp and her Fiancé Charlie Price of Madison, NC; a son: Kenny Machado and his wife Becky of Washington; a brother: Robert Alford of Swansea, MA; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly request for memorial contributions to be made to the Al Alford II memorial fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
