Obituary: Dale Farris West | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Dale Farris West, 74, a resident of 1266 CBH Lodge Rd., Washington, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the Beaufort County Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory of Washington and will be conducted by the Rev. Kevin Woolard. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    Mr. West was born in Washington County on Sept. 3, 1936, to the late John Edward and Ethel Ange West. On Dec. 6, 1958, he married Lavaughn Ange who survives. He was employed as a contractor and sub-contractor in construction for many years and he loved to hunt and fish. Mr. West was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Masonic Lodge in Plymouth, N.C.

    Survivors include his wife Lavaughn A. West of the home, his children, Katrina W. Sloan and husband Richard of Washington, Dale Stanley West of Washington, Maris G. West and wife Shelley of Washington, Karen Seymour and husband David of Pinetown and Luke West of Washington, his grandchildren, Riannon Williams of Greenville, Davie Seymour of Pinetown, Josh Seymour of Pinetown, Ryan Stalls of Washington, Daniel Seymour of Pinetown, Rachel West of Washington, Gabriel West of Washington and Samuel West of Washington. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Edward West and his sister Patricia Faye Respess.
