    Mrs. Judie Arlene Rowe Norris, age 63, a resident of 3133 Chandler Rd., Vanceboro, NC died Thursday August 7, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

    A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday August 10, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rev. Jerry Smith. Burial will follow in Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Clark, Barry Ingalls, Leonard Haddock, Jerry Johnson, Randy Sparks and Frankie Purser.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday August 9, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Mrs. Judie was born in Beaufort County on March 17, 1951 daughter of the late David Thomas Rowe, Sr. and Zelma Gray Gaskins Rowe Clark who survives. She was a 1969 graduate of Chocowinity High School. On September 23, 1968 she married Stanley Caleb Norris. Mrs. Judie enjoyed her job as a school bus driver for the Beaufort County School System. She was a member of Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

    Surviving along with Mrs. Judie's husband Stanley Norris of the home is a son: Stanley "Chris" Norris and his wife Dana of Morehead City; a daughter: Mildred "Stacey" Griffin and her husband Harold, Jr. of Vanceboro; her mother: Zelma R. Clark of Chocowinity; two grandchildren: Kyle Christopher Norris of Troy, MO and John Tyler Griffin of Vanceboro; two brothers: David "Tommy" Rowe, Jr. and his wife Pat of Chocowinity and Jackie Phillip Rowe and his wife Evelyn of Chocowinity; a sister: Sharon Owens and her husband Bobby of Chocowinity; three step-sisters: Grace Mills of Grimesland, Lorraine Fillengame of Vanceboro and Denise Dixon of Washington and a step-brother: Douglas Clark of Washington. Mrs. Judie was predeceased by her father: David Thomas Rowe, Sr. a brother: Darrel Wayne Rowe and her step-father: Johnny Clark.
