Obituary: Patsy Ruth Conlin | Eastern NC Now

    Patsy Ruth Conlin, age 64 years, three months and nine days, a resident of North Carolina, formerly of East Prairie, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at her home.

    Born Feb. 23, 1947 in Enville, Tenn., to the late Arthur Junior and Annie Mae Melton Worthy, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Washington, N.C. On June 2, 1972, she married William Conlin who survives of the home.

    Survivors other than her husband include: One son, Gary Conlin of Greenville, N.C.; One daughter, Cindy & Anthony Davis of Grimesland, N.C.; Five sisters, Eva Williams of Granite City, Ill., Dorothy Russell of St. Louis, Mo., Joyce Wallace of Brunswick, Ga., Brenda Dozier and Mary Ditto, all of East Prairie; Five brothers, Harold Worthy of Hickman, Ky., Roy Worthy of Matthews, Mo., Richard Worthy of Washington, N.C., Roger Worthy of Colorado Springs, Co., and Larry Worthy of Bertrand, M.; Three grandchildren, Patty, Brittany, and Allison Davis; and host of relatives and friends. Patsy is preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Worthy and Roger Wayne Worthy; and two sisters, Shirley Eye and Rebecca Garrett.

    Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Shelby Chapel with Bro. Buddy Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery with Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie in charge of arrangements.
