    Big Disclosure Day in America

This has been one of the biggest news days since Watergate for me. In a few hours this morning we have seen reports of Police shooting / Bill Cosby accused by more and more women of sexual abuse / the report on torture at Guantanamo of prisoners since 9/11.

I would surmise that our pretense of propriety in America has had a serious blow. Much of it has come under the guise of a Conservatism which is so right it cannot ever be wrong. It is hard to look in a mirror and find a monster returning your gaze.

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/09/politics/cia-torture-report/index.html?hpt=us_c2

This is the CNN coverage. I was switching between Fox and CNN. Before the Senate speech was completed, Fox went to commentary trying to dismiss it with any means necessary. Some things you can't cover nor hide. Even the favorite Conservative commentator for Fox spoke in plain terms over abuse of torture. For once, John McCain gets my applause for having some heart and compassion.

Why should he not have such since he endured such torture at the hands of the North Vietnamese?

If we brought former members of the Nazi Party and their officers to trial over human rights abuses after WWII, what should be done with George Bush and Dick Cheney? Bush has admitted in his biography that he was fully informed about Guantanamo. What he means by this and now is speaking of his regrets over prisoner torture are due for examination as was the Nixon part in Watergate.

Many of us Americans have had concerns about abuse of power and mistreatment of prisoners as an over-reaction to 9/11. The cat is out of the bag. We have no more excuses and are claiming the courage to tell the truth shows us to be an even greater nation.

Talk is cheap. Action over injustice requires more serious discussion.

You don't have to think as I think, but we all must think on this one starting right now!!!
