    Ella Phrosene Latham Jackson, age 80, a resident of 1749 S. Asbury Church Road, Washington died Monday, February 23, 2015 at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home.

    A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be officiated by Dr. Greg Barmer. Ronnie Williams, Ronnie Woolard, Ted Woolard, Mike Askew, Timmy Askew, Larry Sullivan will serve as pallbearers. Harry Lee Mann and Ed Hodges will serve as honorary pallbearers.

    Ms. Phrosene was born in Beaufort County on February 4, 1935 to the late Henry Holmes Latham and Amanda Elizabeth Waters. On July 2, 1955 she married James Leroy Jackson, Sr. who died September 24, 1981. She worked in the food service in the Beaufort County Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She volunteered at the Young At Heart Club, the W.M.U., Sunday School, and at The Blind Center.

    Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Jackson Mann, two sons, Billy Joe Jackson and wife Donna, and Michael Lee Jackson and wife Tracey, all of Washington, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

    Ms. Phrosene is preceded in death by a son, James Leroy "Jimbo" Jackson and a brother, Henry Charles Latham.

    The family will receive friends at the home, 1749 S. Asbury Church Road, Washington.
