    Hallie Mae Woolard Roberson, age 84, a resident of 350 Roberson Rd., Washington died Tuesday April 28, 2015 at her home.

    A funeral service will be held Friday May 1, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and will be officiated by Tad Tankard. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Justin Johnson, Allen Walker, Brett Walker, Billy Jarvis, Virgil Walker and Charlie Davenport will serve as pallbearers. Sydney Woolard and Calis Woolard will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday April 30, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home, 350 Roberson Rd., Washington.

    Ms. Hallie was born in Beaufort County on September 25, 1930 to the late Herbert Woolard and Adelaide Tetterton. She was a 1950 graduate of Bath High School. Ms. Hallie was a member of the Harvest Church. She also owned a uniform shop here in Washington and worked as a seamstress.

    Survivors include one son, Kevin Paul Roberson of Washington, a son-in-law Bruce Johnson of Washington, four grandchildren, Brett Walker of Cary, Justin Johnson and wife Ashley of Raleigh, Kinsey Johnson of Newport Beach, VA, Virgil Walker of Washington, two great grandchildren, Ashton Johnson and Austin Johnson.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Roberson, a daughter, Karen Johnson, a grandson, Shawn Walker, three brothers, Lonnie Woolard, Frank Woolard, Armstead Woolard, two sisters, Iva Lee Cox, and Evelene Hewitt.
