Robin Christina Clarke | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Robin Christina Gunning Clarke, age 59, a resident of 122 N. Brown St., Washington, N.C. died Thursday, May 14, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

    A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 113 N. Harvey St., Washington, conducted by Dr. Jimmy Moore. A reception will follow at Fitness Unlimited, 622 W. 15th St., Washington.

    Robin was born on November 19, 1955 in Monmouth Co. N.J. the daughter of the late John Gilkey Gunning and Christina McKay Fowler. In 1979 she married James Thomas Clarke, who survives. Robin's love of animals was a wonderful gift in her life, managing several horse farms in Warrenton, VA and making a loving home for many cats and dogs. Upon moving here to Washington almost 7 years ago she was a manager for Fitness Unlimited and also enjoyed her flower garden.

    Surviving with her husband is a sister, Susan Van Dorn of Cottonwood, AZ.
