    GREENVILLE — Nicole Averett, a board certified nurse practitioner, will join the palliative care and hospice team at Vidant Medical Center and The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice located at 920 Wellness Drive.

    Averett graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a masters of science in nursing. Her areas of interest include palliative and end of life care, geriatrics, and oncology.

    "I have been working as a registered nurse at Vidant Medical Center for nearly six years," she said. "I am excited about the opportunity to stay with Vidant while practicing in an advanced practitioner role with the palliative care and hospice team."

    Averett is joining Dr. Tae Joon Lee, medical director, home health, hospice and palliative care for Vidant Health, along with nurse practitioners Laura Carmon, Abby Fuoto, Charley Tyre, and Christy Welborn.
