Bobby G. Wiggins | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Bobby Gene Wiggins, age 76, a resident of Chocowinity, died Tuesday June 23, 2015 at his home.

    Graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday June 25, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Pastor Jerry Smith.

    Mr. Wiggins was born in Beaufort County on April 18, 1939 to the late Hubert and Fronnie Mae Haddock Wiggins. On June 19, 1965 he married Frances Fay Smith who survives. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He retired with 15 years of service as a machine operator with TRW and he was owner/operator of Bob's Grill in Chocowinity. Following his retirement he raised a garden and fed many people in his neighborhood. Mr. Wiggins was a member of Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include his wife of the home, Frances Smith Wiggins, his son, Travis Wiggins and wife Gina of Pinetops, one brother, Ervin and Juanita Wiggins of Nebo, four sisters, Gertie Corey and husband Ernest of Youngsville, Hilda Boyd and husband Jessie of Chocowinity, Neva Worthington and husband Sammy of Vanceboro, Ida "Tink" Gaskins and husband Lloyd of Vanceboro and two granddaughters, Fantazia Wiggins and Brianna Wiggins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Rayvon Wiggins.

    The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
