Charlene J. Hill | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Charlene Johnson Hill, age 65, a resident of 100 Peggy Place, Chocowinity, NC died Tuesday July 14, 2015 at her home.

    A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 18, 2015 at Haw Branch Church of Christ officiated by Jason Kirkman.

    The family will receive friends at the home of her son: Christopher Hill located at 100 Peggy Place, Chocowinity.

    Mrs. Hill was born in Edgecombe County on August 19, 1949 daughter of the late Paul Randolph Johnson and the late Nancy Eileen Lucas Johnson. She attended J. H. Rose High School in Greenville. She specialized in marketing and was instrumental in founding Greenville Aquatics & Fitness Center.

    Survivors include two sons: Timothy Paul Hill of Grimesland and Christopher Bruce Hill and his wife Jan of Chocowinity; a brother: David Johnson and his wife Melissa of Bath and a grandson: Walker Hill. She was predeceased by a brother: Ken Johnson.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the American Lung Association in North Carolina, 401 Hawthorne Lane, Suite 110-#298, Charlotte, NC 28204.
