    Raleigh, N.C. -The Office of Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointments today:

North Carolina State Board of Refrigeration Examiners

  • Errol M. Blanchard (Pender County) - Blanchard is president and owner of Blanchard Refrigeration, a commercial refrigeration company servicing and installing equipment for grocery stores such as Food Lion and Wal-Mart. He also serves as a commissioner in Topsail Beach. He was president of the Rose Hill Chamber of Commerce for three years and served as a Rose Hill commissioner for 12 years.

    The board licenses refrigeration contractors and has seven members, each serving a seven-year term. The governor appoints all members.

North Carolina Manufactured Housing Board

  • Brantley Joe Earnhardt (Cabarrus County) - Earnhardt is the General Manager of Schult Homes in Rockwell. He currently serves on the board and was nominated by the NCMHA to serve again.
  • Tonnie Prevatte (Robeson County) - Prevatte has owned and operated Prevatte Home Sales in Lumberton for 26 years. He currently serves on the board and was nominated to serve again.

    The purpose of the board is to remedy quality and safety defects in manufactured housing to enforce warranties.

Governor's Advisory Council on Aging

  • Martha Traylor (Durham County) - Traylor served on the Equalization and Review board of Durham and the Animal Control Advisory Committee. She is a retired realtor.
  • Everette Lancaster (Wake County) - Lancaster was Director of Customer Service for Carolina Power & Light (now Duke Energy) and a certified fraud examiner. He is a former member of the Lions and Civitan clubs. He holds an accounting degree from King's Business College.

    The council studies ways and means of promoting public understanding of the problems of the aging, considers the need for new State programs in the field of aging and makes recommendations to the governor and secretary of Health and Human Services. The council has 33 members, each serving a four-year term. The governor appoints 15 members. *Appointees must be at least 60 years old.

Governor's Western Residence Board of Directors

  • Patti Jensen (Mitchell County) - Jensen is Director of Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. For the past 12 years she has served as the Marketing Director for the Mitchell County Development Foundation and as the Tourism and Marketing Director for the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce. She has previously developed marketing strategies for the Switzerland Inn as a member of the Marketing and Guest Relations team.
  • Leslie Farquhar (Buncombe County) - Farquhar is a graphic designer at Freelance Graphic Design. She currently owns and operates Fiddle Sticks and Pink Pen Designs, two businesses that design stationary, invitations and handles planning arrangements for hospitality events.

    The Board of Directors provides support to the state in the use and maintenance of the Governor's Western Residence. They work to maintain the residence as a meeting location for civic and cultural groups in the western part of the state. Members also increase awareness of state government through expanded use of the residence and receive and maintain funds of real or personal property. The board has 15 members. They are appointed by the governor.

North Carolina Board of Pharmacy

  • Robert A. Graves (Randolph County) - Graves is the Director of Safety and Emergency Preparedness at Randolph Community College. He also serves as a Reserve Deputy for the Randolph County Sheriff's Office. He has previously served in the NC Highway Patrol and retired as a Lieutenant in 2009. He is involved with the Randolph Rotary Club, Asheboro-Randolph Chamber of Commerce, Asheboro's First Baptist Church and Asheboro Masonic Lodge 699.

    The board is charged with protecting the public health, safety and welfare in pharmaceutical matters. The board has six members. One member is appointed by the governor. The other members are elected by licensed pharmacists in the state.

North Carolina State Board of Examiners for Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors

  • William H. Sullivan, III (Guilford County) - Sullivan is the President and Treasurer of Sullivan Mechanical, Inc. He holds plumbing, heating and air conditioning license #00003 which was originally given to his grandfather in 1931. His grandfather was instrumental in the legislative process that resulted in the creation of this board.

    The board protects public health, safety and welfare by prescribing the standard of competence, experience and efficiency by examining applicants for plumbing, heating and fire sprinkler contractors licenses. It also enforces laws and holds hearings for the benefit of licensees and the general public. The board has seven members, each serving a seven-year term. All members are appointed by the governor.
