Henry E. Jefferson | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Henry Edward Jefferson, age 76, a resident of 426 Ambrose Road, Pinetown, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015.

    Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, September 25, 2015 at Pinetown Church of Christ and will be conducted by Marty Alligood and Kent Gurganus. Burial will follow in Jefferson Family Cemetery. Jimmy Rogers, James Coltrain, Keith Coltrain, Ernie Coltrain, Tony Woolard and Joe Bright will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Jefferson was born in Beaufort County on October 27, 1938 to the late William Henry Jefferson and Mary Elizabeth Hodges Jefferson. On June 23, 1961 he married Brenda Darnell Coltrain who survives. He was owner of Jefferson Mowing Company and was a member of Pinetown Church of Christ.

    Survivors include his wife of the home, Brenda C. Jefferson, four daughters, Becky Jefferson of Greenville, Phyllis Boyd and husband Curtis of Washington, Rachel Setzer of Pantego, Jennette Silverthorne and husband Michael of Greenville, three sons, William Jefferson and wife Tadge of Pinetown, C.J. Jefferson and wife Kristy of Greenville, Kenny Wayne Jefferson and wife Bridget of Belhaven, adoptive children, Keith and Jennifer Godbey of Greenville, one sister, Frances Davidson and husband Leon of Washington, eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jay Jefferson, one brother, Harold Jefferson and one sister, Grace Marie Jefferson.

    The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Pinetown Church of Christ and other times at the home.
