Terry Vann Sparrow | Eastern NC Now

    Terry Vann Sparrow, Sr., age 75, a resident of 952 E. main Street, Belhaven, died Wednesday January 13, 2016 at home.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday January 16, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Belhaven and will be officiated by Reverend Chris Noble and Pastor Sam Grist. Burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. Doug Barnes, Doug Clark, Jimmy Coltrain, Troy Selby, Chris Cuthrell, Charles Woolard, Jerol Selby, Jr., and Frankie Waters will serve as pallbearers. Sue Radcliffe, Vicki Cox, Deb Johnson, Mary Tolan, Earline Webb, Laura Ann Baker, Marian Keech, and Libby Carr will serve as honorary pallbearers.

    Mr. Sparrow was born in Beaufort County on January 17, 1940 to the late Stephen Dalemar Sparrow and Emma J. Sadler. He was a 1966 graduate of East Carolina University. On September 4, 1966 he married Debrah Younce. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a past member of Belhaven Pantego Rotary Club, Belhaven Community Chamber of Commerce and the Pat Simmons Hunting Club.

    Survivors include his wife Debrah Y. Sparrow, two children, Terry "Vann" Sparrow, Jr. of Grimesland, Leah Victoria "Vicki" Sparrow of Greenville, one brother, Stephen Sparrow and wife Ellen of Fairbanks Alaska, and one sister, Nancy Woolard of Washington.

    The family will receive friends at the home 952 E. Main Street Belhaven, NC 27810.
