Raleigh, N.C.     Governor Pat McCrory and First Lady Ann McCrory are raising awareness for child abuse and neglect. Nearly 500 pinwheels will be on display at the Executive Mansion throughout the month of April as part of a national campaign called Pinwheels for Prevention.

"Protecting children throughout North Carolina from abuse, neglect and other dangers is a top priority of my administration," said Governor McCrory. This display will serve as a poignant reminder to do all we can to ensure every child has a strong community of support to help them pursue a long and happy life."

Pinwheels for Prevention was started to symbolize the great quality of life that all children deserve.

Pinwheels on display at the Executive Mansion have been donated by Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, a statewide organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
