Brenda Joyce Warren Peele | Eastern NC Now

    Ms. Brenda Joyce Warren Peele, age 72, a former resident of Washington, NC died Friday April 15, 2016 at the Vintage Inn of Williamston.

    A Celebration of Ms. Peele's life will be held 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 24, 2016 at Washington 15th Street Church of God.

    Ms. Peele was born in Beaufort County on August 24, 1943 daughter of the late John Hyman Warren and the late Mamie Harrison Warren. She was a graduate of Washington High School and continued her education at the Washington School of Practical Nursing where she received her diploma as a licensed practical nurse. She was a nurse at Beaufort County Hospital and later worked in private nursing.

    Survivors include two sons: John Robert Peele (Liz) of Tampa, FL and Greg Peele (Lisa) of Stella, NC; a daughter: Candace P. Holton (Fred) of New Bern; the father of her children: Robert E. Peele of New Bern; three sisters: Dot Moate of Washington, Jean Woolard of Plymouth and Rita Whitman of Ohio; four grandsons: Daniel, Brian and Chris Peele and Phillip Prescott; a granddaughter: Carlee Peele; nine nieces: Elaine Briley, Cathy Windley, Maxlyn Elks, Delores Spraker, Alice Wingate, Carol Pisarski, Leigh Staelin, Susan Aiken and Sharon Wilcox and four nephews: Brent and Chad Robinson, Scott Wilcox and Dale Hudak. Ms. Peele was predeceased by a brother: Kenneth Warren and three sisters: Nodie Belle Staley, Irene Hudak and Mildred Alligood.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Washington 15th Street Church of God, P.O. Box 1514, Washington, NC 27889.
