Voter ID has been in the news many times lately. Some people are for, and some people are against voter ID. Personally, I am all for showing a valid picture ID before doing something as important as voting. Its something that needs to be in place to PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY. I can't imagine NOT showing a picture ID to be able to vote. After all, you have to show an ID to register to vote. It only makes common sense to validate the one who may be attempting to break the law, right?

Now, if we cant settle something as simple as this, how in the world, does the Social Security Administration get the idea that forcing us to give out our cell phone number, before we access our Social Security benefits online is ok? That's right. Effective 8-16-2016, you will be forced...FORCED!!!!...to give out you cell phone number, to access what is already, YOUR INFORMATION. The following is the email I recieved from the SSA. Be absolutely sure to read ALL of this email, and read the last paragraph over and over, until it sinks it. Then let me know if your smell the same old pack of rats, twisting each of these to suit themselves.

Starting in August 2016, Social Security is adding a new step to protect your privacy as a my Social Security user. This new requirement is the result of an executive order for federal agencies to provide more secure authentication for their online services. Any agency that provides online access to a customer's personal information must use multifactor authentication.

When you sign in at ssa.gov/myaccount with your username and password, we will ask you to add your text-enabled cell phone number. The purpose of providing your cell phone number is that, each time you log in to your account with your username and password, we will send you a one-time security code you must also enter to log in successfully to your account.

Each time you sign into your account, you will complete two steps:

Step 1: Enter your username and password.Step 2: Enter the security code we text to your cell phone (cell phone provider's text message and data rates may apply).

The process of using a one-time security code in addition to a username and password is one form of "multifactor authentication," which means we are using more than one method to make sure you are the actual owner of your account.

If you do not have a text-enabled cell phone or you do not wish to provide your cell phone number, you will not be able to access your my Social Security account

I have never heard that before. Now, that is funny.

Can you imagine how well Kennedy would do now, with pappy's money, in this election season? Hell, I would probably vote for him, and you don't get any more Conservative than me.

The old joke about Joe Kennedy was when someone ask him how much money he spent on his son's election. His answer was just enough to win the election I'm not buying a landslide.

I guess government issue of text enabled cell phone is next, if it is not already part of our "social welfare safety net"

An old Democrat adage, and honest old Southern Democrats will back me up on this, is: "When you control the ballet box, you control the election."

Remember how JFK was elected? This truth really does matter in close elections, and most elections are getting closer and closer.
