Up to Date Activities and Events from Beaufort County Community College: October 20, 2011
Information Session Scheduled for College Enrollment Options for HS Students
Effective January 1, 2012, all current programs that allow high school students to enroll simultaneously at community colleges will be replaced by the Career and College Promise Program.
The Career and College Promise Program (CCPP) is available to high school juniors and seniors from public, private, and home schools. The goal of CCPP is to provide educational opportunities for eligible high school students to accelerate the completion of college certificates, diplomas, and degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills. CCPP courses are tuition-free; however, students must be enrolled in one of the CCPP pathway options to take any curriculum courses at a community college.
Beaufort County Community College will host an information session for students, parents, teachers, counselors, and school personnel to discuss the program options available, enrollment requirements, and application/registration procedures. Parents and students who are interested in Career and College Promise Program options for the Spring Semester 2012 or Fall Semester 2012 are strongly encouraged to attend.
The information session will be conducted at 6:30 pm, on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, in the auditorium of building 8 on the BCCC campus. For more information contact Crystal Ange at (252)940-6216 or Wesley Beddard at (252)940-6226.
