    David Merle Wise, 58, of the Outer Banks, NC, died Thursday, August 4, 2016.

    David was born in Bethesda, MD on May 22, 1958, and was the son of Linda F. (Warren) Wise and the late Harold L. Wise, Sr. He was the youngest of 5 children in a loving Christian family. David was an extremely gifted artist who had works of art displayed in galleries on the Outer Banks. His art included personal experiences using handkerchiefs to larger pieces of art and wall murals. His murals can be seen in numerous retail stores and restaurants on the Outer Banks. His art form was mostly realistic surrealism with extreme detail.

    David was preceded in death by his father, Harold L. Wise, Sr. Surviving are his son, Jason, of Reisterstown, MD; his mother, Linda F. (Warren) Wise of the Outer Banks; his brother Harold Wise and wife Arliss of Greenville, NC; his brother Steve Wise and wife Diana of the Outer Banks; his brother Greg Wise and wife Cindy of the Outer Banks; his sister Susanna Parks and husband John of Severna Park, MD; and numerous nephews and nieces.

    Visitation will be August 9th from 12 PM to 2 PM at Paul Funeral Home, 900 John Small Ave. Washington, NC. Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, August 9th at Paul Funeral Home in Washington, NC by Rev. Greg Wise and Steve Wise, brothers of the deceased. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery in Chocowinity, NC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hukilau Surf Camp and Sail Ministries, Greg Wise 105 John Cabot Ct.
