Press Release:

Washington, NC     One of the benefits of eastern North Carolina living includes the proximity to beaches, water ways and a multitude of outdoor recreation activities, perfect for the summertime. However, sun exposure is the greatest risk factor associated with skin cancer.

One in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer over the course of a lifetime. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment is more important than ever. If you've never been screened for skin cancer, this is an excellent opportunity to establish a baseline examination. People who know what to look for, such as slight changes to an existing mole, are the people who get their skin cancer diagnosed earlier.

As summer comes to an end, it marks the perfect time to be screened for skin cancer. Please register for our free skin cancer screening and learn more about risks, prevention and skin health.
