    Wayne Edward Fleming, age 80, a resident of Aurora, NC, died Thursday October 6, 2016 at his home.

    A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on October 15, 2016 at High Bridge Cemetery in Ernul, NC and will be officiated by John Carawan.

    Mr. Fleming was born in Wayne County, Ohio on July 3, 1936 to the late Harold Helbert Fleming and Mabel Elizabeth Markley. On September 3, 1990 he married Helen Ruth Lewis Fleming who survives. He was Special Forces in the Army of the United States and he worked as an iron worker foreman in construction for 25 years.

    In addition to his wife Mr. Fleming is survived by three children, Mary Turner, Ray Fleming, Jason Fleming and wife Julie, four grandchildren, Scott Fleming, Kaleb Fleming, Gracie Fleming, Emma Fleming, three siblings, Marjean, Gary and Ray.

    He is preceded in death by a son, Frank Fleming, five siblings, Sandy, Susan, Ann, Irean, and Charles
