Creative Fun & Enrichment for Kids


  • Weekday Arts Programs - TWF sessions, Preregister, $25/day, $65/3days, 3-5:45 PM

  • Nov 12th - Little Authors workshop with Dylan Ritch. $25 from 1 - 2:30 PM

    • Make a crown at 2:30 PM, meet a Prince & Cinderella & at 3 PM watch Cinderellas From Around the World on stage. ($2 workshop fee & $5 ticket for play at the door or online).

November 11 Free Event to Honor Veterans, Remember Heroes


    On November 11, AOP will honor our Veterans with a free movie Lafayette Escadrille about a one of our own. The movie had its world premiere at the Turnage Theatre in 1958. Special guest from the Honorary Consul of France. Stop by at 1 PM to view the memorabilia display, enjoy warm popcorn and watch a free movie. Donations welcome.

Tellabration! at the Turnage


    November 19th at 4 PM kicks off the Tellabration Storytelling Event by the Innerbanks Storytellers. Guilds and storytelling enthusiasts all around the globe will share their storytelling talents in concerts held in cities and towns to celebrate the art of storytelling. Locally, TELLABRATION!™ brings together each area's most celebrated storytellers, to delight, captivate, and mesmerize audiences with their stories. It creates a network of storytelling enthusiasts bonded together in spirit at the same time and on the same weekend. Lean in and listen in for free!

Comedy for a Cause


    AOP hosts Comedy for a Cause with I.C. Comedy on November 19th to support fundraising for the City Pool. A great evening out for the family - $5 each, donations

Tinsel Almost Sorta Saves Christmas Theatre & Dinner Theatre Tix


    A farcical comedy where Santa owes money to the Easter Bunny Mafia. The elf Tinsel is here to save the day...well sort of. Santa sends Tinsel on a quest to find the money to pay back the Easter Bunny, or just get him out of the way for a while so Santa make up for lost time. Other holidays get involved, there is a bank robbery, and a surprise ending; what more could you want from a holiday farce. Dec16 & 17th at 8 PM & Dec 18th at 3 PM. Dinner theatre option on December 17th is $25 per person (dinner provided by Washington Seafood), starts at 6:30 PM Tickets are $10. Buy tickets under the Program tab, click on Community Theatre, call AOP or purchase at the theatre. Wine, beer, beverages & popcorn for sale during event.

Fine, Local Art to Buy, View -- Show Has Fine Start


    More than 250 members and guests kicked off the 52nd Annual Fine Arts Show at the Turnage on November 2. The show has packed the gallery, café & artway with 213 pieces from artists hailing from 12 NC counties you need to see. What a wonderful evening of great art, food, friends & music by Dave Reynolds! All artwork entered in the show will be exhibited through Sat, Nov 5th with many of the participating artists continuing to show & sell their work at AOP through the end of the year. Juried works on exhibit & available for sale thru Dec 12th.
