    Mr. Joe Allen Price, age 67, a resident of 269 Mansfield Road, Sherwood Forest, Washington, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

    A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, conducted by Rev. Eric Hill.

    Mr. Price was born in Jasper, TN on September 29, 1949. He was the son of the late Gene Price and Midge Matthews Price Moore. Mr. Price served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired heavy equipment salesman. Mr. Price was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington and served as associate pastor at Life Gate Free Will Baptist Church at Pamlico Beach.

    On April 20, 1974, he married Deborah Weathersby, who survives.

    Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Karen Price Hyman and husband, Eric of Tarboro, Jennifer Price of Greenville; one grandson, Layton Hyman of Tarboro; one granddaughter, Karrigan Hyman of Tarboro; and sister, Linda Lane and husband, Sonny of Washington.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Price was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Price.

    The family will receive friends at the home.
