    Mrs. Dorothy Berry Gunn, age 61, a resident of 1096 West Bay Street, Belhaven, NC died Thursday November 10, 2016 at her home.

    A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 13, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven officiated by Pastor Juanita Gibbs. Burial will follow in Belhaven Community Cemetery. D. J. Berry, Clint Berry, David Berry, Daniel Edgar, Hank Berry and Brandon Berry will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday November 12, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home.

    Mrs. Gunn was born in Beaufort County on January 18, 1955 daughter of the late James Oscar Berry and the late Margaret Jane Gibbs Berry. She was a 1973 graduate of Mattamuskeet High School and on June 24, 1978 she married Jack Howard Gunn who survives. Mrs. Gunn worked thirty years in the public school systems and managed several local restaurants and apartment complexes. She was a member of Belhaven 1st Assembly of God.

    Surviving along with her husband Jack of the home are her children: Cynthia Gunn and Justin H. Gunn both of the home and five brothers: Lester Berry, Dean Berry, Henry Berry, Baron Berry and Greg Berry all of Scranton. Mrs. Gunn was predeceased by a brother: Gary Berry.
