    Mrs. Laura Lynn Hudson Robertson, age 66, a Virginia native and resident of 102 Pasquotank Court, Chocowinity, NC, passed away on Saturday December 10, 2016.

    A celebration of her life will be held Friday December 16, 2016 at 11:00am. The memorial service, to be officiated by Pastor Jay Martin, will be held at the Harvest Church, 2020 West 15th Street, Washington, NC. The family welcome those in attendance to join them for a visitation at the church following the service. A private entombment will held later in the day at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    Daughter of the late Lawrence Rudolph Hudson and the late Illia Blanche Womack Hudson, Mrs. Robertson was born in Lynchburg, VA on June 7, 1950. On May 30, 1970 she married John "Barry" Robertson who survives. She was an active resident of Cypress Landing community and member of the Church of the Good Shephard in Washington. Mrs. Robertson was a devoted homemaker which took second place only to her serving her Lord and Savior.

    Surviving along with her husband Barry are their two children: B.J Robertson and his wife Jessica of Roanoke, VA and Suzanne Jones and her husband Chuck of Raleigh; a sister: Linda Kay McGowan and her husband John of Atlanta, GA; a brother in law: Rick Schnoover of Auburn, AL and two grandchildren: Rachel Kay Robertson Emma Cate Jones. Mrs. Robertson was predeceased by a sister: Sharon Schoonover.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Good Shephard, 2425 North Market Street, Washington, NC or to the American Heart Association, 3219 Landmark Street, Grenville, NC 27834.
