    Mr. Rex Allen Woolard, age 64, a resident of 1038 Terrapin Track Road, Washington died Tuesday morning December 20, 2016 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice.

    A memorial visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM on Friday December 23, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.

    Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on November 8, 1952, son of the late James Henry Woolard and Charlotte Wallace Sutton. He was a graduate of Washington High School. On December 9, 1983, he married Sherry Clark, who survives. Mr. Woolard retired from PCS in 2006. He was an avid golfer and was known as the "Golf Pro" at the Terrapin Track Golf Course.

    In addition to his wife, Sherry of the home, he is survived by his children: Jessica Woolard Mann and husband Stetson of Bath and Christopher Clark Woolard of Washington; his granddaughter: Ella Elizabeth Mann; his brothers: Leonard H. Woolard and wife Phyllis of Washington, Bobby T. Woolard and wife Marianna of Washington, Preston H. Woolard of Arizona, Dwain R. Woolard and wife Melody of Bath; his sisters: Gloria W. Ormond of Bath and Anita S. Bridgeman and husband Colin of Belhaven. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: John H. Woolard and Alton N. Woolard, Sr. and his brother-in-law: Thomas B. Ormond.
