Beaufort County Winter Weather Advisory/Warning | Eastern NC Now

    Publisher's note: This impending Winter Storm appears to be registering more news that others, so we will provide this link to all posts regarding the this first winter storm of the season.

    All Beaufort County emergency personnel are monitoring the weather and making the appropriate preparations. We are advising anyone who does not have to be on the roadways during the weekend to please not do so. This storm has the possibility of being a significant snow event, which will begin late Friday evening and could last throughout the day on Saturday. Bitterly cold air along with wind chills close to single digits will make for dangerous conditions through Tuesday.

    Residents are urged to be safe and follow manufactures directions when using generators, candles, space, kerosene and wood heaters. Also, make sure to take precautions against freezing pipes and provide shelter for pets. Residents also need to realize it may be difficult for our emergency responders to get to you if there is an emergency.
