    James Keith Anderson, age 41, a resident of Vanceboro, died Thursday January 12, 2017 at his home.

    A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday January 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Keith was born in Beaufort County on April 13, 1975 to Edward Lee Anderson, Jr. and Kathy Harding Jones. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed building. He loved the water, going fishing and reading. Keith was a caring person who always had an open door to anyone who needed help. He gave the best hugs and loved his grandmother.

    Survivors include his mother, Kathy Harding Jones and her husband David of Blounts Creek, his father, Edward Lee Anderson, Jr. and wife Terrie of Blounts Creek, two brothers, Kelly Thomas Anderson, Cory Edward Anderson both of Blounts Creek, a grandmother, Caredwyn "Carrie" Harding of Chocowinity, two nieces, Christian Noel Anderson, Jasmine Marie Anderson, and one nephew Aaron Lee Anderson.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the funeral hour Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the James Keith Anderson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.

    The family would like to extend a special thanks to Port Human Services of Greenville for their help and care they have shown to Keith.
